Obituary for Ruthie Juanita Taylor
Ruthie Juanita Taylor, 95, of Granite, Oklahoma went home to her heavenly father on May 13, 2020.
Ruthie was born October 25, 1924 in Davis, Oklahoma to Ed Bauman and Dora (Hokett) Bauman. She was raised and educated in Blair, Oklahoma. Her and her sister Loraine worked as Rosie the Riveter building planes at Douglas Field which now is Tinker Field in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma during World War 2. On July 17, 1948 she married Ernest Leo Taylor in Vernon, Texas. The Taylor family started farming and ranching in Greer County. In 1954 the Taylor family moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico where Ernest worked in civil service, as a aircraft mechanic, Ruthie was a telephone operator. While in New Mexico Ruthie gave birth to both her sons, Mike and Jeff. In May of 1963, the Taylor family moved back to Greer County where they farmed cotton, wheat and raised cattle until they retired and moved to Granite, Oklahoma, in 1983 . A huge part of Ruthie life was dedicated to the Lord and to the First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and sang specials on Sunday mornings. She was devoted to the study of the bible and was a prayer warrior.

Ruthie was greeted at heaven's gates by her husband of fifty-nine years, Ernest Leo Taylor, her father Ed Bauman, her mother Dora ( Hokett ) Winham, her twin sister, Jackie Mabry, two other sisters Loraine Pugh, and Bert Brewer.

Left to honor her memory are her sons, Mike Taylor of Granite, Oklahoma, Jeff Taylor of Granite, Oklahoma, grandson; Tanner Taylor of Granite, Oklahoma, cousins; Frances Sanders of Granite, Oklahoma, Rudean Petzold of Hobart, Oklahoma, Nephews; Wayne Blanchard and wife Pam of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Steve Brewer and wife Shellie of Jones, Oklahoma, Willie Ray Taylor of Claremore Oklahoma, Niece; Jeannie Wells and husband Darrel of Austin, Texas.

The Taylor family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Greer Funeral Home, Granite, Oklahoma.

Funeral services from Mrs. Taylor will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2020 at the First Assembly of God in Granite, Oklahoma with Pastor Tim McGough and Reverend Larry Newton officiating. Interment will follow at he Granite City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, Granite, Oklahoma.
