Obituary for Sallie Burke
Sallie Burke age 86 of Altus, Oklahoma died September 16, 1969 in Memorial Hospital, Altus, Oklahoma. She was born March 22, 1883 in Virginia to John T. and Dorcas (McClure) James. She married J. W. Burke November 1, 1917. She had been a resident of Altus since 1890. She was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ.

Funeral services fro Sallie Burke are scheduled for September 18, 1969 at 2:00pm in the Thomas Street Church of Christ officiated by Jack Carr and Ricke Williams. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Sallie Burke is survived by her husband J. W. of the home in Altus; two daughters, Irene Wilson, of Altus, Oklahoma; Sally Jo Corder, of Altus, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. J.H. Vaughn, Tipton, Oklahoma.
