Sanford Herbert Arey was born June 30, 1915 in Watertown, Wisconsin. Died January 22, 1985 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married to the former Rose Smiley, he was a member of the Lutheran Church, a resident of Jackson for the past 3 years, was in the United States Army, where he served in the South Pacific during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion.

Survived by his wife Rose of Blair, Oklahoma; three sons David Bennett, /Perry iowa; Doug Bennett, Madrid, Iowa; Dale Arey, Blair, Oklahoma; two sisters, Edith Thompson Tempe, Arizona; Alice Klingbell, Milwakee, Wisconsin; four grandchildren.

Services are pending at the Schrader Funeral Home in Boone Iowa.
