ROBLEZ
Santiago Jim Roblez, age 75, of Altus, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2015.
Jim was born in Bastrop, Texas on July 24, 1938, to Domingo and Theresa (Martinez) Roblez. Growing up, Jim lived in several places doing seasonal farm work. He settled in Altus, as a young man, where he worked at Ragsdale Bakery. Later he worked for many years with K.P. Construction and then Hockett Construction as an asphalt layer. He paved many of the roads in and around the Altus area. He continued to work until he had to retire due to health issues. Throughout his life Jim loved to dance, sing and fish, but most of all he loved to spend time with his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by both parents, four brothers, two sisters and a very special great granddaughter, Jaslyn Moncada, he is survived by four daughters, Linda Mutchler and husband Anthony, Virginia Frey, Susan Smith and husband Arthur and Rosemary Harmon and son-in-law Martin; ten grandchildren, Shannon Antonellis and husband Lou of Germany, Santiago Jimmy Moncada and wife Elizabeth of Olustee, Jospeh Stiffler and wife Kloe of Altus, Daelin Barnett of San Antonio, Texas, Stuart Smith of Oklahoma City, Christopher Rinchich of Oklahoma City, Phillip Rinchich of Altus, Desire Harmon of Altus, Lupe Johnson of Altus and Jackie Hiddle and husband Richard of Mangum; thirteen great grandchildren, all of Altus along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to Dr. Leverett, his staff, the staff at English Village Manor and Jim’s close, great friend, Billy Price.
A Rosary will be at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
