Obituary for Sherwood Chris Burnett
Sherwood Chris Burnett age 62, of Hess, Oklahoma died September 29, 1971 at Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.

Sherwood was born September 29, 1909 in Elmer, Oklahoma to R. H. and Sallie (Smith) Burnett.
He had lived and farmed in the Hess, Elmer community all of his life. Sherwood married Mayme Latham December 10, 1927 in Elmer, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Sherwood Burnett are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, October 1, 1971 in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. Randal Weathers. Burial will follow in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Sherwood is survived by his wife Mayme of the home in Elmer; mother Sallie of the home in Elmer; one brother, Velmer, Burnett, New Mexico; one sister, Mable Ross, Willburton, Oklahoma; three nieces and nephews.
