Obituary for Stella S. Chapman
Graveside services for Stella S. Chapman, 100, long time resident of Altus are scheduled for 11:00am Monday, November 27, 1995 at the Altus City Cemetery. Doug Johansen will officiate. Mrs. Chapman was born March 12, 1895 in Ellis County, Texas to Fred and Callie (Vivian) Williams. She married Luther Lee Smith in 1914 in Eldorado, he passed away on February 4, 1946. Mr. Chapman was a member of the World Wide Church of God. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Sunday, November 26 at the Funeral Home.

Survivors include children Luther l. (Pete) Smith of Santa Ana, California; Joe W. Smith and wife Imogene M. of Altus, Oklahoma; sister Vivian Hicks of San Angelo, Texas; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Stella was preceded in death by 2 husbands; Luther Lee Smith and doc Chapman; daughter Ida Margaret Adkins.
