Obituary for Steve Grayson
Stephen Thomas Grayson, "Steve", age 57, a longtime resident of Olustee, Oklahoma and formerly of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home in Olustee.
Steve was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 26, 1964 to his parents Floyd Thomas Grayson and Marjorie Marie (Bullard) Grayson. Steve grew up in Olustee and was a proud graduate of the class of 1984 from Olustee High School. Steve served his country in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for several years and he received an honorable discharge for his service. Steve worked on electronics as a radio technician for the local radio stations. Steve was known as "Radar Steve" for his passion and commitment in storm tracking and he volunteered for the Emergency Management groups helping track the weather. Steve also actively volunteered with the Red Cross and enjoyed working on cars. Steve loved his family and he always enjoyed spending time with his sons and he especially enjoyed time spent with his grandson.
Preceded in death by his father Floyd Thomas Grayson; Steve is survived by his mother, Marjorie Grayson of Altus; his two sons, Kristopher Calvery and his fiance, Allie Mendoza both of Hobart; and Zachary Grayson of Hobart; his brother, Michael Grayson of Altus; his grandson, Karter Rey Calvery of Hobart; two half-sisters, Audrey Hoffman; and Renea Ericson; two stepbrothers, Randy Smaith; and William Smith; as well as numerous other close family members and many friends.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus.
