Thelma Ford, 66 year old lifetime resident of Wellington, Texas, passed away, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Thelma was born in Marshall, Texas on December 26, 1949 to her parents Jack and Ella (Brown) Armstrong. Thelma loved her family and always treasured time spent with family during the holidays. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Ford in 2008; one infant daughter, Casandra Ford; three brothers; three sisters; and one great granddaughter Miracler Lindsey.
Thelma is survived her significant other, Carl Wayne Shannon of Wellington; one son, Kendale Ford of Missouri; two daughters, LaCatherine Watkins of Altus and Michelle Ray and her husband John of Altus; three sisters, Gloria Armstrong of Texas; Winnie Fay Stewart and her husband Irma of Texas; and Loraine Epperson of Texas; six grandchildren, Felicia Theadman and her husband Justin; Catrena Lemon and her husband Courtney; Ashley Cogswell and her husband Matt; Tawanna Lindsey; Pracilla Lindsey; and Jarae Ray; eleven great grandchildren, Davyjon, Jannae, Courtney, Saniyah, Cassius, Kaedynce, Kearstyn, Troy J., Marshon, Tamara, and Mya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
The Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma with interment following at the City Cemetery in Altus.
