Thomas Lee Chapman, age 79, of Blair, passed away at his home on
Thursday evening, June 29, 2006.
Tommy was born on October 19th, 1926, in Madill, Oklahoma, to Thomas Alexander Chapman and Martha Jennymae Morrow Chapman. He married Nora Beach on June 7, 1947 in Sayre, Oklahoma and they spent fifty-nine wonderful years together before his death.
Moving to Blair in 1990, Tommy was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ who loved fishing and spending time with his family whom he dearly loved. A hard wording man, Tommy enjoyed spending the last fifteen years working with his son in farming.
Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters, Tommy is survived by his wife Nora of the home; two children, Monaca Chapman, Blair, Keri Paugh and husband Gary, Blair, Kevin Chapman and wife Heather, Altus, William Lee Desmond and wife Kay of Mustang and Tracie Reed of Pittsburg, Kansas; five grandchildren, Colt Hocker and Cody Hocker, Blair, Kaleb Chapman, Altus,David Riley Desmond of Mustang and Tara Paugh, Blair; two brothers, Truman Chapman of Hobart and Earnest Chapman and wife Dixie of Visalia, California; one sister, Gussie Alford of Ardmore along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services for Tommy Chapman will be Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Elton Talley officiating, assisted by Trevor Cox. Services will be under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home and Crematory of Altus
