Thomas Ross Self was born May 20, 1906 at Hugo, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Tom and Annie Self. He died January 11, 1995 at the Jackson Count Memorial Hospital. He married Nadine Clark December 10, 1927 at Hugo, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death in August of 1992. He had resided in Altus and Jackson County for the past 17 years where he was associated with the Altus School System as a teacher until he retired. he was a long time member of the Hugo First Baptist Church. Services will be held in Hugo at the First Baptist Church on Friday January 13, 1995. Interment will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Hugo under the direction of the Lampton Mills Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo. Visitation will be held at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Wednesday January 11, 1995.
Survivors include children; David W. Self and Wanda of Altus, Oklahoma; Rosetta Holmes and Billy of Roswell, New Mexico; three grandchildren Ricky Self of New York, New York; Kendall Holmes of New Mexico; Toby Holmes of Las Vegas, Nevada; four great-grandchildren, including Jennifer Self of Altus, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by wife, Nadine Self, Grandson, David Wayne Self , parents and 6 brothers.
