Thurman Hitchcock age 57, of Altus, Oklahoma died July 19, 1982 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Thurman was born July 19, 1925 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Alexander and Alice (Thurman) Hitchcock. He married Alga Matychak June 6, 13, 1970 in Memphis, Tennessee. He served in World war II in the Navy. Thurman had been a resident of Altus since 1967.
Funeral services for Thurman Hitchcock are scheduled for Thursday, July 22, 1982 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Keith Wiginton. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Thurman is survived by his wife Alga of the home in Altus; one son, John Hitchcock of the home; two sisters, Eva Schuster, Long View, Texas; Virginia Butler, Ft. Smith, Arkansas; three nieces and one nephew, four great nephews, one great niece.
