Tina Braun, age 51, a longtime resident of Altus, passed away Wednesday morning, April 12, 2017 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Tina was born in Greely, Colorado on November 14, 1965 to her parents Vincent Rojas and Elizabeth Cuellar. In Tina"s teenage years the family moved to Altus, Oklahoma where she graduated from Altus High School and she has resided in Altus ever since. On June 12, 2006 she married James Braun, III in Vernon, Texas and had most recently worked in Security Forces at Altus Air Force Base. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard and Tina always treasured time spent with her family and especially her grandkids.
Preceded in death by her father, Vincent Rojas; Tina is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Cuellar of Duncan, Oklahoma; her husband, James Braun, III of the home; her two children, James Vincent Watson and wife April of Altus; and Larice Shanette Dyer and husband Jason of Navarre, Florida; one brother Vincent Larry Rojas of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Ruby Rojas of Huston, Texas; and Sandra Chamberlain and husband Dennis of Duncan, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jayla, Jase, and Jason; mother-in-law, Maria Espinoza of Altus; her sister"s-in-law, Rosie Braun and Jessica Barnett both of Altus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, April 14, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus with Pastor Dean Goodfellow officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
