Obituary for Tina Marie Briscoe
Tina Farmer Briscoe passed away in her home on September 3, 2021.
Tina was born in Altus, Oklahoma to her parents, C.A. and Jackie Farmer. Tina was raised in Altus, but attended school at Navajo, from where she graduated in 1974. Tina worked for the Credit Bureau for several years before starting her employment at Altus Air Force Base doing civil service work. She retired this year, after her twenty-three years of commitment. She also previously attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years. Tina was the youngest of four daughters, and with being the “baby†of the family, was spoiled accordingly. Tina had many hobbies and interests, which include: Listening to classic rock music (especially the Beatles); Watching NBA basketball (especially the OKC Thunder); Spending quality time with her daughter, Haley, and precious dog, Lola; Playing cards and dominoes with her family; Shopping for purses and jewelry; Collecting frog figurines; Drinking Dr. Pepper, and giving her nieces and nephews chocolate when they came to visit. In the 1980s and 1990s, Tina and her sister, Debbie, sang in a country & western band named North Fork.
Tina is preceded in death by her parents, C.A. and Jackie Farmer; Daughter, Tara Danette Farmer; Sister, Donna Easly; Grandparents, Walter and Ruby Hoffman; Niece, Shan Easly; Best Friend, Rhonda Price.
Left to honor Tina’s memory are her daughter, Haley J. Newberry of Altus, Oklahoma; Sisters, Janice Wilson of Snyder, Oklahoma and Debbie Laney of Altus, Oklahoma; Nieces, Amber and Avery Adams of North Carolina, Taylor Altom and Brandi Kinney, both of Altus, Oklahoma. Nephews, Chad and Lanny Spence of Snyder, Oklahoma. Special brother-in-law, Lee Easly of Headrick, Oklahoma; Special nephew Mason Laney-Hines of Altus, Oklahoma; and Several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Tina was loved by many and will be missed tremendously.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Altus City Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.
