Obituary for Tincie Lu Terry Batchelor
Tincie Batchelor, age 75, former Headrick resident passed away Saturday, May 2nd, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 25th, 1923 in Bethel, Oklahoma to the late James Lewis and Evalena (Duncan) Lewis. On June 29, 1940, Tincie and George "Bud" Batchelor were united in marriage. They had lived in this area since 1958, moving here from Wright City, OK. Tincie had lived in the Headrick Community for many years.
She was a nurse for Jackson County Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1989. After her retirement Tincie and Bud made their home in Altus. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Altus.
Survivors include: husband, George "Bud" Batchelor of the home in Altus; four children, Tommy Hasting Batchelor of Altus, Oklahoma, Billie Goode and her husband Rex of Blair, OK, Becky Parsons and her husband Coy of Headrick, OK, Peggy Hamlett and her husband Derald of Plano, TX; one brother, Clarence Lewis of Idabel, OK; one niece, Anna McCabe of Oak Hill, OK; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters, including twin brother Tommy Lewis.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. in the Navajoe Cemetery with Jan Ivan Oden officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
