Obituary for Travis Richards
Travis Richards died April 14th, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born to the late Elbert and Mayetta Richards in Hollis, Oklahoma on May 7th, 1930. He moved to Altus in 1939 where he attended Lincoln High School. Travis worked as a mechanic in Altus at Paul Corbin Chevrolet and Jim Click Chevrolet before he became self-employed as a mechanic for several years.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Elder B.L. Alexander and Elder DeWayne Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: his loving family, Shirley Williams of Altus, OK, Phyllis Griffin of Florida, Sonya Williams, Chad Richards of Temple, OK, Todd Williams of Garland, TX, Kelly Richards of Altus, OK, Sandy Williams of Altus, OK, Dana Williams of Norman, OK, Mark Williams of Altus, OK, Lanny Morgan of Altus, OK, Ray Richards and Robert Wayne Richards of Hollywood, CA, and Rickey Richards, Aden Richard and Milton Richards of Paris, AR; four sisters, Ruby Davis of Altus, OK, Novella Richards of Altus, OK, Ruth L. Hill of Oklahoma City , "Bennie" Gloria L. Ferris.
of Belton, TX; three brothers, Robert Richards of Taft, OK, Joe Richards and David Richards both of Altus; 28 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
