Obituary for Truman S. Henderson
Truman S. Henderson, age 80, of Eldorado, Oklahoma, died Tuesday in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday May 14, 1992, at the First Baptist Church of Eldorado. Officiating will be the Rev. Mitch Whittington and assisted by Rev. Ken Coleman. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Henderson was born December 27th, 1911 in Odell, Texas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Henderson. He married Effie Weddle February 17, 1929 in Quanah, TX. The couple moved back to this area in 1930 from Chillicothe, TX. Mr. Henderson was a retired farmer/rancher and was the Mistletoe Express Agent in Eldorado for 32 years. The couple owned and operated a retail and wholesale Magnolia station for 15 years. He was an active member of the Eldorado Lions Club. Mr. Henderson was an usher and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Eldorado, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: his wife, Effie E. Henderson of the home; two children, Mona Malone and husband Jack of Eldorado, OK and Jerrye Gilliam and husband Wayne of Arlington, TX; a brother, Vestal Henderson of Ft. Smith AR; a sister, Myrtle Bouldin of Lubbock, TX; three grandchildren, Lynn and Debbie Malone of Yukon, OK, Carolyn and David Day of Lubbock, TX and Tonya and Mark Sanborn of Arlington, TX; one great-grandchild, Matthew Day of Lubbock, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert S. and Daisy Henderson; one brother, Payton Henderson; one sister, Irene Hollman.
