Obituary for Vanda Eileene Hixson
Vanda Eileene Hixson, age 48, died early Thursday morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Born October 17th, 1924 at Hastings, OK, she has been for the past several years a resident of Odessa, Texas where she and her husband owned and operated a funeral home until his death in 1963. She then was a teacher in the Odessa High School system until her retirement due to failing health.

Survivors include: one daughter, Nyeen; her parents, Rev. and Mrs. C. C. Gober, associate pastor of Altus First United Methodist Church; one brother, Rondall K. Gober of Altus.

Memorial services will be held in Altus with burial to be in Kermit, Texas, date and time to be announced later. Lowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
