Vernon N. Tock


Lt. Col. Vernon N. Tock died February 28, 1991 at his home in Altus, Oklahoma. He was born August 9, 1915 at Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, He married Gertrude Helen Guse October 16, 1943 at Dwight Chapel at Yale University in Conn. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran church. He served in the United States Air Force over twenty years. He served during World War II, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. He was a resident of Altus since August 1961. He also retired from Civil Service and was a member of the American Legion.

Services will be held Monday March 4, 1991 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. James Larson. Interment will be in the Altus Cemetery with full military honors.

Lt. Col. Tock is survived by his wife, Gertrude H. Tock of Altus, Oklahoma; children, Terri G. Postlethwait, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Tanya Rae Stidd, Mid West City, Oklahoma; brother, Gordon Tock, Minneapolis, Minn.

L.T. Col. Tock was preceded in death by his mother and father.
