Obituary for Virgil Arthur Swilling
Mr. V. A. Swilling, age 87, long time resident of Blair, died Saturday morning at the Altus House Nursing Home.

Born May 12th, 1885 at Throckmorton, Texas, he came to Jackson County area in 1902. He married the former Bertha Seay in 1907 and they lived and farmed in the Blair area until retirement. He was a member of the Blair United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one son, Otto Ray Swilling of Tucumcari, NM; three daughters, Mrs. Warren "Bera" Steel of Altus, Mrs. Othelene McCaslin of Tipton, CA and Mrs. Darlene Bevers of Altus; two brothers, Milton Swilling of Blackburn, OK and Calvin Swilling of Pomona, CA; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending with Lowell Funeral Home.
