Obituary for Virgil H. Guy
Mr. Virgil H, Guy, age 79, prominent newspaper publisher retired, died Tuesday morning at his home in Blair.

Funeral services have been set for 11:00 A.M., Thursday morning at the Blair First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Reverend Richard Rowe and assisted by the Reverend Marshall Howard. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born February 14th, 1895 in Marion County, Georgia, he came to this area in 1937 owning and operating the Eldorado Courier from that date to 1947 after which he sold that property and acquired the Blair Enterprise which he operated until two years ago.

He was very active in the Lions Club and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Sallie of the home; a number of sons and daughters and other relatives.
