Virgil K. Ragsdale, age 79, of Altus, passed away July 27, 1982, in Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Virgil was born June 21, 1903, in Archer City, Texas, to Virgil and Donna (Nelson) Ragsdale. He married Mildred Phinney May 28, 1927 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Virgil owned a Bakery in Mangum from 1929 until he retired in 1955. He then moved to Altus, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services for Virgil K. Ragsdale are scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 1982 at 2 pm in the First Methodist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. C. C. Gober. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Virgil Ragsdale is survived by his wife, Mildred of the home in Altus; one son Kent Ragsdale, Altus, three sisters, Polly Little, Center, Texas; Agnes Clifford, Columbia, South Carolina; Lucille Dickey, Porterville, California; two grandchildren, one great grandchild.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and one daughter.
