Obituary for Virgil R. Christian
Virgil R. Christian, age 89, passed away Tuesday, May 3rd, 1994 in Altus, Oklahoma. Virgil was one of 12 children born to George Frank Christian and Allie Finley. He grew up in the McClain County and Cleveland County areas working for the Railroad. He later worked for the Mobil Oil Company and retired after 38 years. He was living in Pottsboro, TX before he moved to Altus 3-1/2 years.

Survivors include: three sons, Robert Christian of Altus, OK, James V. Christian of Glendale, AZ and Paul S. Christian of Tuscon, AZ; one brother, Harlan Christian of Purcell, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; six brothers; four sisters.

Graveside Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 1994 at the Lexington Cemetery. Dr. Ray Christian officiated. Funeral was directed by Little's Funeral Home of Purcell.
