Obituary for W. R. Rigsby
W.R. Rigsby age 77, of Olustee, Oklahoma died November 16, 1969 in Memorial Hospital, Altus.
He was born November 13, 1892 in McKenny, Texas to J.L. and Lena (McGuffin) Rigsby. He moved to Jackson County in 1908, married Etha Dowdy in 1911. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Duke, Oklahoma and retired farmer.

Funeral services for W. R. Rigsby are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday, November 18, 1969 at the Methodist Church, Duke, officiated by Rev. Mouzon Rosser. Burial will follow in the Victory Cemetery, Victory, Oklahoma under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

W. R. Rigsby is survived by his wife Etha of the home; one son Orvis Rigsby, Lawton, Oklahoma; one daughter, Ruth Appling, Olustee, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. M.L. Griffin, Blair, Oklahoma; Mrs. Beatrice Dowdy, Altus, Oklahoma; one brother J.P. Rigsby, Sherman, Texas
