Obituary for W.D. Bill Swann
W.D. Bill Swann passed away at Jackson County Memorial Hospital on August 8, 1982 at the age of 79. He was born on August 26, 1902 to William and Amanda Swann at Talking Rock, Georgia. His wife, Effie, preceded him in death in 1970. Bill was a resident of Altus for over 50 years. He was a member of Odd Fellows. He retired in 1967.
Survivors consist of one son, Billy Swann, Marietta, OK; two daughters, Bobbie Morgan, Ardmore, OK, Barbara Funk, Altus, OK, and Wanda Walker, Altus, OK; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. His brother, Vernie Swann, Altus, also survived him.
Bill was preceded in deat by his wife, Effie, in 1970, son Jack Stanley, 1938, aand son Neal Swann in 1978.
Funeral services for Bill Swann will be Wednesday, August 11, 1982. at 2PM at Tims Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at the Tipton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Tims Funeral Home, Altus.
