Walter Almarin Chapman age 84, of Altus, Oklahoma died October 19, 1967 in Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 31, 1882 in Farmersville, Texas to Sylvester A. Chapman. He married Stella smith November 12, 1945. He had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since 1907. He was a member of the Olustee Masonic Lodge, 32 degree Mason, county commissioner for 26 years, Olustee City Council for 25 years and Olustee City Clerk for 8 years.
Funeral services for Walter Almarin Chapman are scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 1979 at 10:00am at the Methodist Church in Olustee, officiated by Rev. Howard Roberts and Bill Osborne. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Walter Almarin Chapman is survived by his wife Stella of the home, one son Harmon Chapman, Kingsport, Tennessee; one daughter, Audre Chapman, Buckyeye, Arizona; one grandson, three great-granddaughters; one brother, Garland Chapman, Kerens, Texas.
