Obituary for Walter Dee Harvick
Funeral Services for Walter Dee Harvick, age 83, of Edmond, Oklahoma, will be Tuesday, February 1, 1994, 2:00 p.m. at the First assembly of God, where he was a member, in Altus, OK.
He died in Avenal, CA after a short illness. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
He was born November 19th, 1910 in Eldorado, Oklahoma. He married Vera May McPherson in Altus, OK on August 9, 1933. Vera passed away on May 15, 1992.
Dee was a World War II veteran where he served in the U.S. Army. He settled in Altus, OK in 1949, where he and Vera lived for 41 years. Dee farmed and worked for Civil Service at Altus AFB where he retired in 1977. He was also a longtime member of the American Legion.
Survivors include: his son, Carroll W. Harvick of Avenal, CA; a daughter, Miriam Mitchell of Edmond, Oklahoma; a brother, Melvin Harvick of Eldorado, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lucy Crelia of Altus, OK and Lillie Stricklin of Winchester, TN; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife; one son; four brothers; three sisters.
The family will be staying at 1809 Tyler in Altus, OK.
