Obituary for Wanda Beth Cary
Wanda Beth Richardson Cary, died July 7, 2019 at Harmon Memorial Hospital. She was born April 30, 1931 in Harmon County, to Claud S. Richardson and Ida Seright Richardson.
Wanda graduated from LaCasa High School in 1949. Following graduation, she married the love of her life, Harlon Cary and settled in Harmon county to raise their family. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Rural Carrier's Association, LaCasa Home Extension, and 1961 Sorosis. She was owner of Double C Fabric. She spent numerous hours cooking, canning, sewing, and going to her grandchildren's activities. She and Harlon enjoyed summer time at the lake with the six grandchildren.
In addition to Wanda's parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Cary, a son, Bradley Gene Cary, two daughters, Marsha Ann Cary and Belinda Renee Cary, and a brother Wendall Richardson.
Survivors include her son, Mike Cary and wife Dana, , her sister, Rita Firpo, her daughter-in-law, Lillie Cary Stinchcomb and husband Ed, her grandchildren Brandon Cary and wife Alisha, Binet Castleberry and husband Garret, Kelby Hensley and husband Cisco, Jake Cary and wife Lauren, Brenna Rippetoe and husband Jordan, Luke Cary and wife Breanna, twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening, July 10, 2019 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Hollis First Baptist Church with Pastor Glenn Alley officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
