Obituary for Wanda E. Hammond
Wanda E. Hammond age 101, of Lawton, Oklahoma formerly of Altus, died March 27, 1982 at Cotton Nursing Home in Lawton.

Wanda was born October 7, 1881 to Alexander Ewing. She married Edgar Hammond, he preceded her in death in 1942. Wanda was a retired school teacher, having taught in Ringling public school for 40 years.. She had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since 1886.

Funeral services for Wanda E. Hammond are scheduled for April 2, 1982 at 10:00 am in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. C. C. Gober. Burial will follow in the Navajoe Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Wanda is survived by one grandson, James Hammond, Lawton, Oklahoma; one brother Bernice Ewing, Headrick, Oklahoma. One son, Morris Ewing Hammond preceded her in death in 1966.
