Obituary for Wanda Lynne Barnes
Wanda (Doughty) Gammill Barnes Wanda Lynne Barnes passed away Saturday, July 15, 2000 in Huntsville, Texas a the age of 84. Wanda was born April 18 1916, to Alva Franklin and Lillie Viola (Rodgers) Doughty, in Martha, Oklahoma. She Graduated from Martha High School and earned her education degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. She taught school in Martha, Vernon, Texas and Brownsville, Texas. She married Cleatus Gammill and later married Ennos Barnes. Both her husbands preceded her in death. Wanda was a member of the Methodist Church. Wanda is survived by two sons, James E Gammill of Huntsville, Texas and Jimmy Barnes of Lubbock, Texas: two sisters Doris Evans of Greensboro, North Carolina and Charlsie Pricer of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren, Hudson "Bucky" Gammill, Gina Allen, Tina Gammill and Jessie Barnes, and three great-grandchildren, Madison Allen, Andi Allen and Michael Allen. Graveside Services for Wanda Barnes will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July , 2000, at the Martha Cemetery in Martha, Oklahoma with Rev. Doug Burr officiating. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
