Obituary for Wayne Anthony Starkey
Wayne A. Starkey age 63 of Altus, Oklahoma died October 16, 1969 at Memorial Hospital in Altus. He was born March 15, 1906 in Martha, Oklahoma to Houston and Berta (Doughty) Starkey. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a doctor and member of numerous Medical organizations. Including Board member of Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Director of Oklahoma Medical Regions Entry, Oklahoma Baptist University, Oklahoma State Medical Association, Oklahoma Academy of Opthalmology, All Sports and several others.

Funeral services for Wayne Starkey are scheduled for October 18, 1969 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. C. David Matthews. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Wayne A. Starkey is survived by his wife Edris of the home; mother Mrs. S. Houston Starkey, one sister, Mrs. J. L. Clifton, Arkansas.
