Graveside Services for Wendell Gaylord Hankins, age 67, have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Altus City Cemetery with Toby Blackstar officiating.
Mr. Hankins passed away March 8th, 1996. He was born September 18th, 1928 in Altus, OK to Lewis Calvin and Ethia (Hale) Hankins. On August 6, 1954, Wendell and Rena Mae Wauqua were united in marriage in Texas. They have lived in Cache, Oklahoma since 1962. Mr. Hankins was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his wife, Rena Mae Hankins of the home; three children, Larry Hankins of Tulsa, OK, Wendell Lawayne Hankins of Elgin, OK and Kenneth Doyle Hankins of Gilroy, CA; two brothers, Darrell Hankins of Altus, OK and Jerry Dale Hankins of Big Springs, TX; two sisters, Nova Rogers of Aurora, MS and Sharon Abbott of Henrietta, TX; 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents.
