Will A. Howard, 83, Altus, died Friday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services were held at 10 am Monday at the Altus City Cemetery, with Rev. Keith Wiginton, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.,
Mr. Howard was born March 12, 1910 to J.P. and Bertie Howard in Frederick, Oklahoma. He married Alma Rutledge, July 22, 1929 in Altus, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death December 15,, 1969. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 35 years. He then worked for Civil Service until his retirement. Mr. Howard was a long time member of the First Baptist Church and had been a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge.
Survivors include children, Norma R. Lyons and Jim of Altus, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Teki Lyons of Vernon, Texas.
Preceded in death by parents, wife, Alma Ruth Howard in 1969, one brother John Howard, one sister, Fern McNeil.
