Obituary for Will Blackwell
Will Blackwell was born December 21, 1917 at Friendship, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late James Neil and Agnes Odessa (Graves) Blackwell. He died December 12, 2002 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

He married his wife Marian on August 4, 1959 in the First Baptist Church in Altus. He served in the U.S. Army as a Supply Clerk and was honorably discharged. He also served as the Chief Purchasing Agent at Altus Air Force Base with Civil Service and retired after serving 31 years.

He was a life-long resident of Altus and Jackson County and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Marian Blackwell of the home in Altus; two children, Neil Blackwell and his wife Lori of Altus, Oklahoma and Bill Blackwell and his wife Lea May of Edmond, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jamie Blackwqell of Altus, Oklahoma, Chad Blackwell of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kristin May of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cody May of Edmond, Oklahoma, Carson May of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Clarice Lingle of Altus, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bessie Lee Blackwell; one brother, D. E. Blackwell.

Services for Will Blackwell are scheduled for 11 AM, Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the directio0n of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

The family of Will Blackwell will greet friends Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
