Obituary for William (Edd) Adams
William Edd Adams passed away January 7th, 1979 in Altus, Oklahoma. Services were held at the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ at 2 pm Wednesday, January 10th with Wayne Price officiating. Interment took place in the Restlawn Cemetery.
He was born January 30th, 1919 in Duke, Oklahoma to Henry and Ora M (Ballanger) Adams. He was a resident of Altus and Jackson County his entire life where he was a member of the American Legion. He married Rosa McElroy on May 2, 1942 in Altus. Mr. Adams was a veteran of WWII having served in Germany with the US Army. After his discharge from the Army, he went to work for the City of Altus from which he retired in September of 1978.
William (Edd) Adams is survived by his wife, Rosa of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; two daughters, Zane Hansen, New Orleans, La. Janis McSwain, one son Lt. Gary Adams, Ludwigsburg, Germany, seven grandchildren, mother, Mrs Ora Adams, Altus, Oklahoma; two brothers, John Adams, Salines, California; James Adams, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
