William G. Stange, resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 at his home in Altus, Oklahoma at the age of seventy-eight.
Bill was born on September 18th, 1945 to Edward and Francis Stange in Hull, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Rock Rapids-Central Lyons High School in 1963. After high school, Bill went to South Dakota State before enlisting in the Navy in 1965. After Bill was discharge he worked at Control Data in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Finally he moved to Altus, Oklahoma where he worked at Altus Air Force base working on the flight simulators. He enjoyed learning all that he could about computers and constantly worked on improving his craft. In his free time, Bill enjoyed fishing and dining out. He was an honest and quiet man, he was diligent in his work and very consistent. He was proud of the work he did and the service he provided to his country. Bill leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his family, his friends, and his country.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Edward Stange and Francis (Becker) Stange.
Left to honor his memory are his sister Carol Dierksen and husband Eugene.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, Altus City Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.
