William H. Conwell
William H. Conwell, 85, passed away Sunday, March 12th, 1995, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born July 26, 1909, in Caddo, Oklahoma to William M. and Clara (Fuller) Conwell. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, attending Eldorado School.
On November 27, 1927 William and Mina Daughtry were united in marriage at Quanah, Texas. Mrs. Conwell preceded him in death on September 18, 1986.
Mr. Conwell was Superintendent of the Light and Water Department for the City of Eldorado for 52 years. He attended the First Baptist Church.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mina; and one sister, Velma Powers in 1965.
He is survived by one daughter, Paula Sue Ingram of Eldorado, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Cheryl Thurmond of Altus and David Ingram of Oklahoma City; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 1995, in the Eldorado First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
