Obituary for William Leslie "Les" Starwalt
Mr. William Leslie "Les" Starwalt, age 91, pioneer resident of the Blair area, died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at the Blair First Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Marshall Howard and assisted by the Reverend Bill Mease. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born September 2nd, 1886 in Jewitt, IL, he came to this area at a young age and was a retired farmer. He was married at Erick, OK on February 28, 1945 to the former Grace Stephens, who survives of the home in Blair. He was a member of the Woodmen of The World, former Deacon of the Midway Baptist Church and a member of the First Baptist Church in Blair.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: two sons, Berlin "Buck" Starwalt and Mabry L. Starwalt, both of Blair; five daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Hill of Loveland, Texas, Mrs. Alvena Estes and Mrs. Lorene Gaines, both of Dallas, TX, Mrs. Joe Davis of Blair and Mrs. Anna Mae Stokes of Midland, Texas; a step-son, Mr. Eugene Francis of Houston, Texas; a step-daughter, Mrs. Verlee Sprague of Burkburnett, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Goss of Eldorado and Mrs. Nellie Caton of Sunnyside, WA; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
