William McAskill was born on April 19th, 1907 in Headrick - Indian Territory, Oklahoma to Joe and Hester Carmichael McAskill. He died on April 15, 1990 at the Four Seasons in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Virginia McAskill of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; two daughters, Sharon Carol Marlow of Big Springs, Texas and Mary Marsha Kirby of Altus, OK; two sons, Dale Daniel McAskill of Purcell, OK and Donald Joe McAskill of El Paso, TX; one sister, Judie Kock of Warland, WY; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Jack W. McAskill and Carl McAskill.
