Obituary for Willie Elizabeth Lane
Elizabeth Lane, age 69, of Oklahoma City and a longtime resident of Mangum until 2007, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 4, 2014 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Willie Elizabeth was born in Mangum on January 21, 1945 to George W. and Earnesten (Reed) Ray. On August 6, 1962, Elizabeth married William Vance Lane in Wellington, Texas and they were married for over 51 years before her death. She worked in accounting at L&L Finance and Community Action, and worked in cosmetology at her Total Excellence beauty salon in both Mangum & Childress, TX. She was a member of the St. John Baptist Church of Mangum, where she faithfully served in several capacities. After retiring in 2007, Elizabeth and William moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to family and were members of the Greater Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church. Elizabeth enjoyed shopping, cooking and going fishing when she could and she loved taking care of her family and always wanted to help others and she was a proud foster parent for 35 years.

Preceded in death by her parents George, Jr. and Earnesten Ray; two sons, Stanley Lane and Randy Davis; one brother, Marshall Ray; two sisters, Jeanette Hendricks and Carrie Ray; Elizabeth is survived by her husband William Lane of the home; three sons, Terry L. Lane of Texas; William V. Lane, Jr. and wife Nakisha of Elk City; Timothy Z. Lane of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Lanette Chase and husband Gary of Yukon; Tammey Lane of Oklahoma City; Tracey Jones and husband Ervin of Oklahoma City; Kelli King and husband Ernest of Oklahoma City; Tangela Carter of Texas; two daughters-in-law, Johnetta Lane of Oklahoma City; Linda Davis of Mangum; four brothers, Robert Ray and wife Jackie of Oklahoma City; Jerry Ray and wife Tina of Mangum; Ronnie Ray of Oklahoma City; Michael McDougle of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Vickie Ray of Florida; Helen Callins and husband Bobby of California; Lisa Williams of California; Diane Ray of Oklahoma City; twenty-six grandchildren: Shon, Karen, Brandy, Jazmine, Octavia, Nicholas, Arie, Tyson, Talia, Tera, Tiffney, Toshia, Brittney, Alex, Candice, Christian, Nene, Chelby, Isaiah, William, Terrence, Terrel, Kollin, Exzavior, Xavier, and Destiny; eighteen great grandchildren, Taj, Jalen, Aaliyah, Michael, Ta'Niyah, Bre, Jawan, Keyshon, Kiara, Tiara, Essence, Trystan, Londyn, Riyan, Kevonte, Khanden, Christian, and Vida; four great great grandchildren; her lifelong friend, Claudia Harris of Mangum; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Mangum First Baptist Church with interment following at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.
