Obituary for Willie Mae Graves
Mrs. Willie Mae Graves, age 82, long time resident of Altus and Jackson County, died Tuesday night at Altus House Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services have been set for 2:30 P.M., Friday at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Hoyett Lemmon and assisted by Reverend Carl McCoy. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery.
Born September 2, 1890 near Ardmore, Oklahoma, she, the former Willie Chapman, came to Blair in 1900. She was married to Mr. P.M. Graves February 2, 1908. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of the home include: two daughters, Mrs. Joy Rushing of Altus and Mrs. Pauline Giles of Port Hueneme, CA; four sons, Jack Graves of Altus, Albert of Loyalton, CA, Perry of Sunnymead, CA and Talma of El Monte, CA; 30 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
