Obituary for Willie Preston Starr
Mr. Willie Preston Starr, age 65, of Altus, OK, died on Tuesday, May 7th, 1968 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Tims Chapel, Thursday May 9, 1968, 10:00 A.M. with the Reverend Gene Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Starr was a member of the Baptist Church. He was married to the former Anna B. Chapman on January 3, 1921 in Mangum, OK. He had lived in Altus since July 1965 having moved here from Mangum.
He is survived by: his wife, Anna, of the home; three sons, James and Bill of the home and Wesley of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; step-mother, Mattie Starr of Frederick, OK; three brothers, Louie and Robert of Bakersfield, CA and Roy of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Gracie Copeland and Flora Powers, both of Bakersfield, CA.
