Obituary for Cindy Lynn Tarpley
Cindy Tarpley, 59 of Dodson, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Collingsworth General Hospital in Wellington, Texas.
Cindy was born in Akron, Colorado on November 21, 1960 to her parents Lloyd Boatman and Mary (Cox) Goble. Cindy grew up in Akron, Colorado where she attended high school. On March 28, 1980 Cindy married the love of her life Jon Tarpley, Sr. in Childress, Texas and they have enjoyed over 40 years of marriage together. They settled in Hollis where Cindy worked at the Hollis Veterinary Clinic and she also worked at the Dodson, Texas Post Office. Cindy loved animals; cats and dogs, birds racoons, frogs and fish to name just a few and she would help rescue and nurse them back to health. Cindy also loved to cook, take care of her flower beds, and she enjoyed watching the show Super Natural. Cindy loved her family and spending time with them and she will be missed very much.
Survivors include her husband Jon Tarpley, Sr. of the home in Dodson; her son, Jon Tarpley, Jr.; her daughter, Brandie Hicks; her brother, Butch Boatman; her sister, Connie Bivens; three grandchildren, Marcus, Heather, and Alexis Hicks; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Boatman and Mary Goble.
Private family arrangements are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
