Rosa Gomez Watkins, 60 years of age, of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis.
Rosa was born January 13, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Juan and Rebecca (Montoya) Gomez. Rosa married Juan (Johnny) Martinez Salazar on April 17, 1974. He preceded her in death. She was occupied in the Home Health area as a Certified Nurses Aid. She worked in both Nursing Homes in Hollis, Harmon Memorial Hospital, and Home Health.
Rosa met Don Watkins and the two were married on July 13, 2007. She enjoyed working with the elderly, listening Gospel Music and loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rosa is survived by her husband, Don Watkins of the home; two daughters, Theodora (Lola) Ardry and husband, Allen, their children Abraham Revilla, Marissa Ardry, Haley Ardry, and Robert Ardry and Elisa Joslyn and husband Justin, their daughter Addison Joslyn; adopted two granddaughters and four grandsons; her mother, Rebecca Gomez of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Irene Gomez of Lubbock, Texas, Virginia Armenta and husband Trinidad of Lubbock, Texas, and Ester Cervantez and husband Rudy; three brothers, Ramiro Gomez and wife Cindy, Leandro Gomez and wife Olivia, and Gabriel Gomez and wife Alice; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosa was preceded in death by her father, Juan Gomez; and two brothers, Johnny Gomez and Chavello (Izzy) Gomez.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Hollis, Oklahoma with Joe Cantu officiating. Cremation services will follow under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis. The family will received friends 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Harmon County Funeral Home.
