Bill Oran Motley, age 85, of Hollis, passed away late Sunday evening, May 5, 2013, at Harmon Memorial Hospital, in Hollis.
Mr. Motley was born in Hollis, on September 16, 1927, to Walter Oran and Pansy Dee (Northcross) Motley. After graduating from Hollis High School, he attended the University of Oklahoma where he obtained his bachelor’s degree. Mr. Motley served as the State Health Inspector, in Southwest Oklahoma, for many years. He also was a United States Veteran, serving with the U.S. Marines and the United States Navy.
In keeping with Mr. Motley’s wishes, he was buried in a private ceremony at Fairmount Cemetery on Monday, May 6, 2013, by Harmon County Funeral Home.
Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Joe Motley, Phil Motley and Jack Motley and his sister, Marilyn Motley, he is survived by his friend, Tomas De La Cruz, of Hollis.
